Movi ("we", "our", or "the app") is a movie rating app. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

Data We Collect

• Account information — Your name and email address when you sign up (via email or Sign in with Apple).
• Ratings and reviews — Movies you rate, scores, written reviews, and your ranking list.
• Social data — Your friends list, friend requests, comments, and likes on reviews.
• Device tokens — Push notification tokens so we can send you notifications about friend activity, comments, and likes.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide the core app experience: ratings, rankings, and movie recommendations.
• To enable social features: friends, shared reviews, comments, and likes.
• To send push notifications you've opted into (friend ratings, friend requests, comments, likes).

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Authentication). Data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Third-Party Services

• Firebase (Google) — Authentication, data storage, push notifications.
• TMDb — Movie information and images. Movi uses the TMDb API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDb.
• Apple — Sign in with Apple authentication.

Your Choices

• You can manage notification preferences within the app (Profile > Notification Settings).
• You can delete your account and associated data by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

Movi is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
